Estonian manors
Haehl in Kirchspiel Joerden, Harrien

The manor was first mentioned in 1526. It belonged to the von Anrep family in the Middle Ages and was constructed as a vassal castle made of stone (fragments found in a later building). Later on, the manor belonged to the von Staals for a long time, who erected the Baroque manor house in about 1760, which has preserved to our day. Slight changes were made to the building later, including after two fires (in 1905 and 1984). Today, the building is in private possession. A kilometre away, the ruins of a stylish gate tower have been preserved in the von Staal family cemetery.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Juuru Parish in Harjumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Kehtna Municipality in Raplamaa County.
