Estonian manors
Audern in Kirchspiel Audern, Kreis Pernau

First mentioned as an episcopal manor in 1449. From 1809, the manor belonged to the noble family of Pilar von Pilchau. A wooden manor house was built at the end of the 18th century, but was destroyed in 1941. Still, several valuable surrounding buildings have been preserved – distillery, granary, servants’ house with corner tower, and others. A family graveyard of the Pilar von Pilchau family is located near the centre of the estate.
