Estonian manors
Kandel in Kirchspiel Kergel, Oesel

The manor was first mentioned in 1542. It has belonged to the noble families of Berg, von Ekesparre and von Güldenstubbe. A single-storey wooden main building was probably constructed at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, having been preserved to our day as rebuilt in the 19th century. The building is now in private possession. The gateposts have been decorated with dolomite lion figures.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Kärla Parish in Saaremaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Kärla Municipality in Saaremaa County.
