Estonian manors
Hoheneichen in Kirchspiel Kielkond, Oesel

The manor, originating from the Middle Ages, has been the property of the von Bellingshausens, the von Aderkas'es and the von Nolckens. The centre of the manor was built in the 18th and 19th century. The single-storey main building is modest, but gate posts lining the driveway and gate buildings with pointing arches are impressive.

Today, the manor is privately owned and used for accommodation. A well-known seafarer and discoverer of the Antarctic, Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen, came from this manor. Additional information: http://www.pilguse.ee/, info@pilguse.ee, ph. +372 454 5445, +372 524 0033.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Kihelkonna Parish in Saaremaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Lümanda Municipality in Saaremaa County.
