Estonian manors
Aya in Kirchspiel Wenden, Kreis Dorpat

First mentioned in 1553. The two-storey Baroque stone main building was erected in the 1740s by the de Villebois family. Later, the manor belonged to the von Lipharts, von Löwis of Menars and von Brasches. In 1929-97, the building housed a local school. About a kilometre from the manor's centre is a chapel (with a beautiful Neo-Renaissance portal) and family graveyard of the von Brasche's family.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Võnnu Parish in Tartumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Ahja Municipality in Põlvamaa County.
