In the Middle Ages, the manor belonged to the Bishop of Tartu. Later, it belonged to the von Bergs for a longer period. The face joint Neo-Gothic brick building, which Friedrich von Berg had built in the 1880s, is one of the most luxurious historicist manors in Estonia. Several outbuildings are in the same style.
