Estonian manors
Rogosinsky in Kirchspiel Rauge, Kreis Werro

The castle-like Rogosi manor was established around 1600 by Stanislaw Rogosinsky. Later, the manor belonged to the von Glasenapps for a long period of time. The later Baroque main building originates from the end of the 18th century (today a school is located there). The outbuildings as well as the gate tower originate from the 19th century (restored in 1999). It has been speculated that in the Middle Ages a vassals’ stronghold was at the same location.

Additional information (guesthouse): http://www.rogosi.ee/, rogosi@rogosi.ee, ph. +372 505 1547.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Rõuge Parish in Võrumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Haanja Municipality in Võrumaa County.
