Estonian manors
Neuenhof in Kirchspiel Kosch, Harrien

The estate was first mentioned in 1340. In the Middle Ages, a fortified manor erected by von the Taube family was located there. Later on, the estate belonged to the von Tiesenhausens and von Uexkülls. The latter constructed the Neo-Renaissance main building in the estate in the 1850s (currently used as a schoolhouse). The central part of the building was reconstructed from a medieval fortress.

In 1886, a Neo-Gothic funeral chapel for von the Uexkülls was erected in the Pirita River bend (one of the most beautiful Neo-Gothic chapels in Estonia, which is now in ruins). Local museum in manor house: ph. +372 675 1271.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Kose Parish in Harjumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Kose Municipality in Harjumaa County.
