The estate that belonged to Padise Abbey in the Middle Ages was originally constructed to be a fortified dwelling home (the remaining ruins are those of the building altered in the 19th century). Later, the manor house was long associated with von Stackelbergs, who constructed a long Italian-like one-storey late Baroque main building in the 1790s. The building is now used as a schoolhouse and at both of its ends there are little round dome towers.
