The manor house was established in 1790, in which year the small Early-Classicist main building was probably also constructed (it is now privately owned and its openings for windows have been slightly altered).

By the historical distribution the manor was in Sangaste Parish in Tartumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Õru Municipality in Valgamaa County.
