The estate was established in the 16th century and elaborated into a more prominent-looking manor at the end of the 19th century, while in possession of the von Fersen family. The English style two-storey main building was completed in 1903. It now houses a tourist information centre and a kindergarten. Many aristocratic outbuildings and a beautiful park with long drives remain.
