The estate was founded in 1772, and was connected with the noble family of von Ungern-Sternberg. The Neo-Gothic main building was constructed in the 1860s, and was restored in a smaller and altered part at the beginning of the 20th century. It is currently in private possession.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Kadrina Parish in Virumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Kadrina Municipality in Lääne-Virumaa County.
