The estate was established in 1766 and was associated with the von Moeller family, which were the owners of the Sõmerpalu manor. In about 1910, a small but stylish Neo-Baroque main building was finished on the estate. A forest district administration operated in the building for a long time in the 20th century.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Urvaste Parish in Võrumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Sõmerpalu Municipality in Võrumaa County.
