The estate was first mentioned in 1511. The single-storey massive and simple-shaped main building has preserved to date in a slightly rebuilt form (after the fire in 1934) and is used as for lodging.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Kanepi Parish in Võrumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Kanepi Municipality in Põlvamaa County.
