The manor, which was established in the 16th century, was long associated with the von Ungern-Sternbergs. Only the left end of the 19th century long stone main building has remained up to the present day. It is currently used as a residential building.

By the historical distribution the manor was in Kanepi Parish in Võrumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Kanepi Municipality in Põlvamaa County.
